This means that, no matter how many claims are filed, you personally will have a $2 million limit each year. Further, you’ll have $2 million personal and advertising injury, which means you are protected against offenses related to your business's advertising of its goods or services, and any damages or injuries caused by negligent acts occurring on another's property. Some of our other benefits include $25,000 in identity theft protection, and being an occurrence form policy.

Claims-made coverage is a type of policy that states a claim must be made while a policy is active in order for it to be covered—at National Barbers, this is not the type of policy we offer. Instead, we offer occurrence form coverage, which is a type of policy that states even if your policy is long-expired, should a claim be made against you for an event that occurred while your policy was still in effect, we’ll be sure to have your back. With us, you’re absolutely covered, no matter what.

For a one-year policy with National Barbers, our current rate for professionals is $169 annually, which covers professional and general liability insurance up to $2 million per occurrence. For a two-year liability plan, we offer insurance policies at $299, which offers you nearly $40 in savings when you opt for two years of coverage.

The best part? There are even more options to choose from. Our student rates are just $49 for a year’s worth of coverage and we also offer a benefits only plan (insurance excluded) for $39 per year that grants you access to identity protection, a professional website, and tons of discounts and special offers!

Monthly payments are available! Our monthly payment option is through PayPal’s Pay Monthly program. With PayPal’s program, you have the availability to split the cost of your policy, plus a fee, over the period of your choosing. There is zero interest if you pay the complete cost of your policy within a 6 month timeframe—after that, interest could apply. Although this is offered, we do highly suggest paying upfront in order to avoid a credit check.

We’ve made filing a claim a simple process! All you need to do to get started is send an email to our Operations Team at sarasota.bsd.operations@ajg.com. Once they verify your coverage, they will send you a Claim Summary Form to fill out. Depending on the specific case of every individual claim filed, you may be asked for some additional documents/documentation, but there’s no need to stress— our Operations Team will take care of everything else and update you on the next steps of the process throughout.

Yes! Your National Barbers Insurance policy will go wherever you do, regardless of where you are, in all 50 states of the U.S. As long as you follow any specific local and/or state regulations within your practice(s), we’ve got you covered at home, in the shop/spa/salon, or on-the-go!

Accessing your certificate of insurance (COI) is easy! All you have to do is log into the member portal and click/tap 'Certificate of Insurance' in the left menu. If you have any issues accessing your COI, you can also give us a call, and we’ll email a copy straight to you!

You definitely can! Just buy the policy whenever you’re ready and then you can select your start date up to 90 days (three months) ahead. For example: if you purchase your policy March 1st but don’t actually need/want your coverage to begin May 16th, just select May 16th as your official start at checkout—it’s that simple!

The singular difference between our part-time and full-time policies is just how many "hands-on" hours that you spend with clients each calendar week. For those of you who are typically working 10 hours or less per week, our part-time policy option is the definite choice for you. However, for those of you are working with clients well beyond 10 hours a week, the full-time option is precisely what you need. Please keep one prime factor to keep in mind when making your selection: business-related tasks such as administrative or marketing do NOT count towards those “hands-on” working hours. Regardless of which policy you choose though both offer the exact same coverage limits and benefits—so you're completely protected, no matter which one you choose!
